In Lisbon, Ramiro is great seafood(shellfish only). But it is very crowded and the wait for a table can be an hour or more.

In Porto, S.O.S is a small place with great seafood. Adega Mercearia Bebe Se Mal is another small, family owned place that is great.

I second Ramiro. They do take reservations. That’s a must. Make sure you get the crab

I also recommend Time Out food market in Lisbon.

Os bons Malondros in Lisbon. Small place so be sure to make a reservation the day before if possible. You have to try the mojito balls

In Porto, I'd recommend Ode Porto Wine House and Vinum.

Ode Porto is right on the riverfront. Vinum is actually across the river in Vila Nova de Gaia and is attached to Graham's Port Lodge so it would be a good place to eat after a tour.

In Lisbon, make sure you drop by Pasteis de Belem when you visit Belem Tower and Jeronimos Monastery since it's easy walking distance. It will probably be super crowded, but it's worth a stop.

Make sure to visit Sintra while you are in Lisbon. Absolutely beautiful. Hellish traffic. Our favorite meal was at a place called Incomum.
