I have no desire to be infested with chiggers, sleep in freezing cold weather, be woken up by strange noises, trek around the woods for hours trying to find my way out.
Does anyone enjoy these things? I love the outdoors, hunting , hiking, backpack trips, etc. But I'm also a damn 21st Century American and enjoy some modern amenities. I don't mind taking a crap in the woods for a couple of days and a bathing with a pot of hot water and wash cloth, but there's nothing better than the first hot SSS when back to civilization.

quote:just finished a book about the battle(s) of chosin reservoir and one soldiers comments about getting a hot shower for the first time in weeks on board a navy ship after the retreat.... was a poignant point in the book...... I could relate to a week or so... but weeks... and those cats were dealing with some of the most brutal temps ever seen on a battle field.
