This thread frightens me. My oldest is a HS freshman, smart kid and he’s taking a very difficult courseload and struggling. He might pull out 2 As and is very likely to have 1 C. I don’t consider him abnormal as he’s always had an easy time til now and many kids struggle at this time in their academics. To think he will have essentially been eliminated not just from the top schools nationally but essentlally all 3 of the top school in state after just his Freshman year kinda sucks. Tough message to deliver to a young person. But one I’ve been trying to warn him about since summer.

Nah, one C in freshman year won’t eliminate him from the state schools. ACT/SAT is most important thing BY FAR.

time for the halftime speech.

It may be too late for all A's but if he gets serious now he can retake the c this summer and be sure to actually know the material.

Organization.
Quiet.

Maybe get him the speed reading course.

A tutor and turn c to b.

Let him.know what the Japanese go through.
