I will post the image of the all seeing eye from the graffiti in the Purcell home

I think we are getting into:

Elite pedophillia
Trauma based mind control
Trafficking (by a company that has the infrastructure to easily pull it off and has the superficial cover of a legitimate business)

Prior posts, different thread:

Heavy occult themes
The moon was focused on bigly in the first episode (murder was on the first full moon after Halloween...)

Episode 2 has the gems below...

How True Detective Season 3 Might Directly Connect to Season 1

In Episode 2, when documentarian Elisa Montgomery (Sarah Gadon) interviewed Det. Wayne Hays (Mahershala Ali) about the Purcell case in 2015, she showed him some websites from amateur true crime sleuths trying to unravel the mystery, which might be a bigger conspiracy than just convicting the wrong guy. “They go in lots of directions,” Montgomery said. “Did you know at various times since, large scale pedophile rings connected to people of influence were uncovered in the surrounding areas? Do you know about the Franklin scandal?” The Franklin scandal was an alleged pedophile ring in the late ’80s connected to a prominent Nebraska banker and political donor. He was said to have trafficked children to Washington D.C. to be abused by powerful people in Satanic rituals. It was debunked by 1990, but Montgomery doesn’t seem to accept that story, because part of conspiratorial thinking is not accepting official narratives. And besides, while there may not be a Satanic component, well-connected predators who get away with horrible crimes are very real.

“It’s been theorized that straw dolls are a sign of pedophile groups like the crooked spiral,” she said. But there’s something ambiguous about the way she said “crooked spiral.” She could be saying that straw dolls and crooked spirals are both symbols used by pedophiles. Or -- and this is what her inflection made it sound like -- there’s a pedophile group called the Crooked Spiral.

Crooked...

People know the Crooked Spiral exists but can’t prove it. Maybe the the cult is operating in Arkansas, Louisiana and elsewhere and is protected because it includes powerful people in its ranks.

People are going to be REALLY disappointed when it isn’t done huge pedophile ring connected to season 1.

The Hoyt family paid Julie’s mom to give her to them to replace the dead granddaughter, and then killed her in 1988 fir wanting more to stay quiet. The one eyed black guy in this episode was the one seen driving around in the sedan in 1980 with a white woman, presumably the Hoyt daughter who lost her kid. The cop who is now head of Hoyt security helped cover it up by planting evidence in 1980 and was killed in 1990 by Wayne and Roland, presumably after they find out about his involvement and that he killed Tom. We can assume that Hoyt has the cousin killed in 1990 for talking.

That’s gonna be how it goes. The only real question are what happened to Julie from 1980 to 1990 and then after all the events of 1990, and who actually killed her brother. My best guess is the one eyed black guy.
