It’s amaizng that we were experienced in week 5 vs a shitty Ole Miss team
Inexperienced weeks 6-9 and the. Experienced again against Rice.
Just saying your point over again doesn’t really change the facts.
We didn’t have more than 200 or a TD against a top 25 defense

quote:IMO Les Miles was weak regarding offense. After Jimbo Fisher left and Matt Flynn graduated LSU began to lose to Alabama. A fact this is however LSU got screwed by Thomas Ritter in Tuscaloosa out of the Adrian Peterson interception no call. I think LSU's fate was murdered by this game and Les Miles legacy died.
LSU 2018 offense was one of the most productive in the last 10 years
The 2018 LSU offense was a true LSU TIGER TEAM EFFORT.

What doesn't fit your agenda is that added a whopping 6 yards passing per game over the 13 game season.

Jesus Christ you're starting to sound like Ricky.
What was your guess for yardage in 2019?

I’m hoping over 3300
But I amm Attributing a lot of that to what I am hoping Brady brings to the table.

Should be doable. I see no reason we can't reach that.
What would you consider to be the factors?

I think Brady helps us realize the offense we wanted last year.
More RPOs, more plays designed to get athletes the ball in space, and designed to spring 1 player.

Ensminger will still be calling the plays. Burrow will still be the QB

may not be a popular thing to say, but i think he did well for the make shift O-line he had, plus everyone was basically new... yes, id like to have Briles offense more than any other, but at least it looks like we're going to have some direction now... RPO city... I like the new hire with young buck, he may be the guy after this year... dont know... but this year there shouldnt be any excuses on offense... Everyone returns, everyone has been in the offense for a year, he has all the weapons at his disposal. No excuses this year.. we are deep at WR with play makers, we have two RB's now an Experienced capable QB and experience across the line... Next year, LSU is loaded... Oregeron better either A, Make the SEC title game, or B, sneek into a playoff with one loss... anything other than that is a failure honestly...

I’m hoping Ensminger is calling plays from a better playbook.
I’ve always liked Burrow.

His playbook isn't going to change. We might just see a much different type of offense due to the running game having better weapons.
We ran read option and a few RPO's last season.
The offense at the latter part of the season was far more versatile than at the beginning.

Best post today. Hard to argue with any of it. The offense is going to be good this fall. I can't wait to see what they come up with.

I am Hoping and think we see a lot more RPOs.
We should run a lot more RPOs.
People kept asking “how can you pass if you can’t pass lock?” Well, a play where you pass while run blocking seems like a start.
I get Why we didn’t run more Reqd Options last year, and I’m hoping we run more now that we’ve saved Brennan’s RS.

The oline shouldn't limit the play calling this year
Posted on 2/11/19 at 12:04 pm to Topwater Trout
We passed 379 times and threw a tone of 15+ yard routes.
What way we’re we actually limiting playcalling last year?

seriously? when the line isn't blocking well...bama stands out the most, SELA had an end owning our right tackle, UF was getting pressure without blitzing...and I am sure I am missing a few other games...we go to max protect which doesn't spread the field. In a perfect world do you really think SE wants to run 2 wr routes trying to protect the QB?

Listen
You’re answering a different question. I get Pass blocking makes it harder to pass.
I’m asking how do you think it effected our play calling?
We threw the ball 379 times. We threw the ball 35 times VS Alabama. We took plenty of deep shots, ran long developing routes and PA. We ran out of 3 WR sets a lot.
It’s not like we only ran checkdown plays or WR screens.

You are just figuring out this about Sammy? He is in the mold of Rick and 1988.

How do people know what E wants to run when he feels forced into formations.
