There will always be kids ahead of him and kids behind him at daycare, but as a parent you’ll only notice the ones he’s behind.
Sometimes there can be relatively large gaps in the same age group when one kid is 11 mos old and another is 18 mos old. Between two 30 year olds 7 mos is nothing, but it’s a much bigger difference development wise for small kids.

True! He is just the youngest in the class and they continually forget he is a preemie so not really on par with the other kids. He is now supposed to be having all his "milk" from sippy cups, be napping once per day on a nap mat (not a crib), and should be eating table food. Ugh.
If they want to enforce the nap mat instead of a crib, more power to them. But the eating thing just had me worried. Thanks for the suggestions people. I will make a list and try the foods that worked for yall.
