There is a reason you play in 1 AA, it is sub par talent and football.
I think LSU will win, and probably by a decent margin. But I don't want to bash the Appy fans who are just trying to support their team, unless they make a truly rediculous comment. But I have heard more rediculous comments from our fans than theirs. I hope you guys come down here and have a great time. If I see you I will give you a beer and some food. That's how we roll.
And to comment on the quote above: just to name a few, Steve McNair, Jerry Rice, Walter Payton. Don't tell me that Appy's QB is overrated just because he plays I-AA ball. If you do, that is what falls into one of those rediculous comment categories.
Geaux Tigers!!!

Yes, he was at LSU, but he was ours first. He's a good one.

Dude, get over it. This is a message board that has ridiculous comments all the time. I was just giving them a hard time. It's called "trash talking". I follow football and know about players other than LSU or the big name teams.

When you talk about talent, and indicate that
1-AA/BCS is inferior remember that App had three more players drafted that Alabama this year who I believe plays in the mighty SEC.
This joker really got everyone stirred up with this post. Please remember he ain't one of ours........We all know what we are facing and that the difference will be depth. I do hope you get to see the best that we have to bring and you appreciate the gift of speed and guts that Armanti has. he is a special player.

intricacies of big time football.
Just what intracacies do you speak of?

Armanti is much faster and just doesn't try to bowl anyone over whereas Tebow doesn't have the quickness to deflect hard hits and he is a big ol' corn fed boy so he runs ppl. over.
Maybe you should spend more time watching big-time (SEC) CFB. If you did, you'd know that Tebow is something of a freak at 240 lb. being as quick and elusive as he is. He didn't just earn the Heisman running over people.

Obviously Tebow has more weapons around him AND his arm is probably stronger but I think Edwards will do all right.
Thank you for making my case. I don't doubt Edwards has the potential to have a nice little game, but there's a big gap between shredding a defense and causing them some problems.
I have yet to hear you or any ASU fans explain how their O-line will keep the LSU D-line under control...out of the ASU backfield...in Tiger Stadium...at night.

I think this is the biggest point to be made. I don't know if people really truly understand what our D-line is going to be. That unit will be better than last year's unit IMO. That unit will be the best D-line in the nation this year IMO. Yes, our corners are young and unproven. But I predict that we will not blitz as much this year, leaving them on an island all alone. I think our D-line will be able to put enough pressure without having to blitz as much. Combine that with the fact that Miles has proven that if you give him enough time to prepare he could give the Patriots a run for their money, and what you should have is a dominating defensive effort. It's hard to showcase a good arm while lying on your back.

I remember being at the game vs App St in 2005 and their QB running all over us. He looked like the best player on the field that night. A. Edwards is a better QB than he was so we better be up for this game especially with that type of offense and new guys starting on defense. I'm not saying Edwards is gonna shred us but we better be ready to play. I don't want to do what Michigan did.

I agree that our D Line will be the best in the nation and better than last year. But we had an outstanding line in 05 too, with Williams, Wroten, Oliver, and Pittman, and ASU had better time of possession and ran for almost 200 yards on us averaging 5 yards a carry. And ASU this year will be much better than that 05 team too. These guys can play, and to pretend that they can't just because they're 1 AA is really just stupid.
Yes, I have no doubt LSU will win, but ASU is a good team and I see no need to put down their team or their fans.

Give me a break......if there are any clowns on here that have no idea.....it's anyone who believes that LSU is going to roll up to a tune or 56-0, or makes statements like those above. Every App fan on this board, or in real life, all know we are not expected to win this game, and even more so have a very slim chance. Every true COLLEGE FOOTBALL FAN knows that this Appalachian squad isn't exactly the normal FCS (1-AA) team that gets a shot at the big boys either. Our team is going to come to play, and at the end of the day, win or lose, they will have earned your respect.

If our new co-DC's do the right thing and blitz the hell out of this guy and force him into quick decision making, the game will be over by halftime. If they sit back like we saw too much of last year, it will be interesting for awhile........

Quick decision making? That's what the read option is all about. Go ahead an give us numbers every play. See how that works.
