Might be the fastest player to ever put on the Purple and Gold
Blazing 4.2 speed if the first guy on kickoff Return couldn't tackle him he was GONE!

Gotta be the fastest other than Xavier Carter.

Trindon won the NCAA title in the 100m.

Xavier Carter.

What a waste of talent. If he'd of stuck with football no telling how good he could have been. I know there are other factors that determine how good a player gets, but I don't think he gave football enough time to find out. I remember in the Army AA game, Ted Ginn broke a kickoff and X man gave chase. Ginn had a very good lead and X was running him down before getting blocked out the play.

The LSU coaches absolutely wasted his career. It wasn't until the final game of his career, Arkansas, with all the running backs hurt, that they had to give him the ball. He had 212 all purpose yards. Beyond that emergency, they acted like he never existed on offense.

Trindon Holiday

Nothing like listening to the commentators mention 2 or 3 times a game "Trindon Holiday the fastest man in college football! ".

Herman Johnson the biggest baby ever born in Louisiana. Sorry couldn't resist.

Those were the days.

Bennie Brazzel was fast too. Poor guy just could t get open. We put him in the field often too.

This isn't meant to be a shot at Holiday, but he had problems holding onto the ball throughout his career (into the NFL). Maybe that's why he wasn't used in the backfield as often?

One of my favorite memories of him was that kickoff return in 2006 versus Arkansas.... him dragging his feet while he ran in the end zone with that turf coming up was so live.

Watching the whities at my alma mater Episcopal trying to catch Trindon on the field in HS is still one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. My buddies in the secondary would have perfect angles on him and he’d beat them to the spot by 10 yards.

Off topic, but I remember watching my high school play Shyrone Carey when he was playing QB at Shaw. Dude was a monster...no one could catch him.

Likewise, just a couple years later down the expressway, there was an even better running QB playing at Higgins. Yeah, I watched Skyler Green torch my high school too. But, he was an even better one-man show.

Glad these men wore purple and gold!

I wouldn't really call this a throwback.
