Sony TV just quit

Have a Sony 40" led tv that my father in law bought us which we mainly use on our porch during football season. We don't leave it outside, just bring it in. For some reason last time I went to watch it, it would not come on. No power. I attempted to get another power supply off Amazon and it still wouldn't work. Any clues on what to do? I doubt it is worth fixing, but just crazy that a TV we barely use and is less than 2 years old would just quit.

You try plugging into a different outlet?

sounds like it got a better job. Maybe you aren't paying fair market compensation?

Could just be a lemon. Too bad your warranty has expired.

Just wait until saintssiffer another late season loss and destroy it then. Be sure film yourself destroying it.

I bought a new Sony 55" a few years ago. It does have a little reset button on back, but it did not help when it went out.
The problem was the power module, which they changed out twice in a few months under warranty. I finally berated them into replacing the whole TV, and the replacement TV has been fine.
I know two other people with the same model TV bought at the same time, and no issues. Mine was a very sour lemon.

I went through 2 Sonys. Call them and stay on their arse, day after day. They'll EVENTUALLY make it right; but you have to be persistent as frick.

And go ahead and check with your credit card you used to make the purchase (assuming you did) and register the receipt for any extended warranty the CC offers.
You can do it later, after it breaks, but it speeds things up to send in the papers early.

This is what I'm waiting to hear. I highly doubt it's one of their newer 900 series or A9F.

Research that model to see if Sony made another shite TV like they have in the past. Went through that with them years ago. Check credit card it was purchased on for extended warrant coverage. If none its an expensive door stop.

I have a crap Sony model and I wish it would die. Great picture, just lags and is awful to operate.

I purchased mine through Amazon. They were AMAZING in getting Sony off their arse. Perhaps another avenue to explore.
