Need some advice.
Have a friend that is giving me a 12x24 shed for free. It’s in good condition no rot metal roof. Going to have it moved to the hunting camp which currently has to 2 campers. Looking to convert to a cabin/bunkhouse.
What’s the best method of installation? Is the diy spray foam kits worth it? Saw some online for 600-800.
We are going to put a dividing wall for a bunk room with bunks and other room will be living room/kitchen. It won’t be any sort of luxurious but a place to sleep eat and watch some tv while not in the stand.
Location will be pike county ms so rarely gets under 25 degrees for extended periods of time.

I’d look at RockWol as an alternate to spray foam

Has anyone ever done this in the New Orleans metro or within 100 miles that I could come take a look at to get some ideas?

I think you could insulate it well enough, with the pink stuff for about 400 bucks. For the inside walls, home depot has some stuff that is less than 9 bucks per 4x8 sheet that I used in my garage. It's just a hard pressed cardboard I guess maybe 1/8" thick, coated on 1 side. When I got it up on the wall , it looked like leather, so I didn't even paint it. It looks great to me. I just trimmed it out and let it go.

The Home Depot store where I live, had it in the area with the underlayment and the coated wallboard and stuff like that, It wasn't with the paneling, but that's what I used it for. It was the cheapest stuff they had.

Thank you sir.

The Home Depot where I live is so disorganized. If you must know, it’s the one behind University Mall in Tuscaloosa

Do not use the foam. You have to have proper ventilation. Seriously, if you were to actually seal it well enough it could be dangerous when using any type of gas for cooking or heat.
The other issue would be in the off season, moisture inside of it will cause problems. Imagine shutting a damp yeti ice chest for six months outside in our heat and then opening it up....

I got to go by Home Depot in a little while. I'll get the item info and leave it here for you, so you can ask to look at that specifically.
Its really easy to use, because you can just cut it with a good knife.

I kinda went over the top as i wanted it nice. U can cut corners on finishing it out with paneling, i planed down rough cut lumber for a natural ship lap paneling. Will email pics shortly

Had same size building as my workshop at my old house, I used 1/2” foam sheet insulation to insulate between studs then sheeted with OSB. Small window unit would freeze u out in summer and regular electric dance heater would warm it in winter. As others have said don’t spray foam as building will need to breath. I think I did the inside of mine for a few hundred bucs of insulation and plywood.
