Louisiana is falling far behind Texas in job opportunities. If you don't want to be an Engineer or Oilfield Baw, your opportunities are better if you leave than if you stay.

And that's the cold hard truth.

This. Plus, there are only so many of these type of jobs to go around in La as well. There just aren’t the jobs.

unfortunately, those 2 sectors have been struggling the last 4-5 years due to the ongoing offshore oilfield bust. Oilfield baws can make a killing out in West Texas though
