I have no children and no regrets but you’re gonna get hammered by all the parents who will find fault with your choice. They will proclaim a greater joy and deeper appreciation resulting from all the money and time they’ve spent focusing on their kids. They’ll think they’re better than you because of their “sacrifice” or devotion.
They can’t comprehend that one can be fulfilled- albeit differently- by remaining childless.
Good on them. They found fulfillment and satisfaction on the path they chose. I have too. I just took a different route.

Hey different strokes for different folks. Whatever works for you, you’ll get no judgment from me but don’t assume I think I’m better than you or anyone else.

Same with me. I’m 59, perfectly happy and fulfilled with the way my life has turned out with minimal regrets. I would never want anyone to have to feel they needed to take care of me.

If you’re not trolling, which I’m pretty sure you are, your bitch arse will not eat a bullet at the first sign of declining health. That’s not how you’re made up internally. If you don’t have kids that’s ok but it is life changing. I had the same thoughts as you and my wife and I didn’t have kids until our late 30s and our last was born when I was 41. You don’t think like has a purpose? Have a kid then post your thoughts.

I say that because for all of our married lives, my wife and I have gotten that patronizing, pitying comment, “ oh, you don’t know what you’re missing.” Luckily I always felt ( and usually replied) “neither do you”.
Neither of us have ever regretted not having kids. We were honest enough to know it wasn’t for us. And I don’t mean to generalize, but most parents have this perspective.

With me having children, this is honestly my biggest fear. I’ve planned accordingly and hopefully they never will have to financially or physically take care of me.

And I can accept this. I’m glad you followed your head and didn’t listen to people wanting you to conform to what they think is the norm. There are people out there that shouldn’t have children. You’ll gat no ugly comment about not having them from me.

What an overused and stupid stupid. It's 2019 for God's sake. You know what you need to do to survive? Go to fricking Kroger and make sure you have groceries so you don't starve and go to the doctor and get a shot in your arse that instantly heals you from what was once a fatal disease.

The thing about having kids is it makes you realize how meaningless your life was beforehand. Enjoy it, because no one cares and it doesn't matter.

What an odd post considering you have kids.

Ridiculous, I still golf, woodwork and tinker with cars.. Hell each one of mine has taken an interest in one or more of them as well. Which negates this point and reinforces the first.

More of a testament on the parent than the child honestly..

Unless you’re talking about dogs and horses, you’re wrong. We have no kids.
Well none of which we’re aware.

Typical Cajun. Cooking at a buddy's house and before we knew it the Sun was rising.
