"He has these books he carries around, a stack of notebooks," Louisiana Tech safeties coach Karl Scott, who was a graduate assistant under Aranda at Delta State, told The Advocate. "I guarantee you we'd be able to go through those things and find out how football was created."

I believe the notes part was from an AFR podcast and was stated by Aranda.

You forgot to include a link to the podcast. Podcasts have links.

I don't attest to knowing anything about the matter, which is why I asked for a link

Can you provide a link to the AFR podcast?

You don't think the notebooks quote from a coach was enough?

I don't think Aranda has done so many interviews with AFR or OTB it will not be too difficult for you to find it using Google. Listening to each one will be the only thing that should take more than a few seconds.

“ lower the bar for our defense”

As with most LSU fans, I will worry bout a proven DC when our OC can find a way a way to score on Bama and produce a O ranked better than 10th in the SEC.

Did you really not see the multiple links that were in the very post you are replying to?

Enough for what?

Since you provided the articles, I was under the impression you had the link to the AFR podcast you referred to.

What I have posted more than backs up the statement I made.

If you are so worried about a podcast, it is very simple to type Dave Aranda AFR or OTB into the google search box.

Listen to them and report back with what you find. Not that it matters anyway.

When I was a coaching at Cal Lutheran, and I used to go visit USC, Coach Orgeron was there," Aranda said.

I was very disappointed in the end of the A$M game, but I don't think anyone has lowered standards. There's not a unit in the country that's going to play flawlessly over the course of the year

I think chaissons injury hurt more than most people realize.

The expectations for the defense are still very high. This was a very good defense, borderline great even. It wasn't quite elite though.

12th in efficiency
26th in scoring (t-20th if you remove OT)
t-16th in turn overs forced
t-40th in opponent red zone attempts
47th in opponent red zone TD%
25th in total defense
34th is opponent's 3rd down %
32nd in sacks (missing best pass rusher for the entire season)

The red zone numbers could be better, but that's probably somewhere around 15 as an overall unit. The efficiency rating confirms this.

Meaningless stat. When the offense can’t make first downs, it gives the ball back to the opponent. The more times the opponent has the ball, the more likely they are to score regardless of how good or bad your defense is.

I love how you cognitively challenged exclude the fact that aranda literally went around the country and that he and o discussed "getting off the ball and stuff like that " literally probably asking o what defensive line drills they do to practice that.

Lolol.

Bunch of mad losers that can’t accept the fact they were wrong about the decision to name O coach at LSU is what it all boils down to.

You don’t know that for a fact yet. If he never wins a championship then he was a failure as a hire. He has yet to win one so he is not a success yet.

Lol. Hes yet to lose less than 3 games during the regular season, or beat the recruiting averages of miles, even in Louisianas strongest years.

Orgeron built the roster. Extremely disappointed in the 4th quarter against Florida and last possession against TAM. I like Aranda and glad we have him. We did not get our moneys worth.

So then we didn’t get our moneys worth out of E or O either then. I mean, if the defense (even though they were very good) wasn’t “good enough”, then clearly the offensive minds on this staff were overpaid.

What I posted is not hypothetical. Those are actual games that were played this season. My post also had nothing to do with "score".

But isn’t the goal to win championships? Isn’t that what the last two head coaches at LSU did?

I guess the bar really has been lowered by some people here.
