Oregon Could Become the First State to Require In-Home Surveillance of Newborn Babies

"If Oregon Governor Kate Brown has her way, the Beaver State will become the first to require universal home visits for newborn children in the care of their own parents.
Senate Bill 526, introduced this month in the Oregon Legislative Assembly as part of Brown's budget, orders the Oregon Health Authority to "study home visiting by licensed health care providers." Lawmakers went so far as to declare that SB 526 is an "emergency" measure...
...Moreover, the 18 sponsors of the bill claim that its passage is "necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety," and therefore "an emergency is declared to exist."
What's the big emergency? Apparently, the state of Oregon is concerned that some parents are raising their children without the watchful eye of Big Brother monitoring their every move — a big no-no in the view of the progressive left.
Patrick Allen, director of the Oregon Health Authority, told the Beaverton Valley Times that he's enthusiastic about the idea of universal inspections for newborns. "This isn't something for people in trouble. This is stuff all kids need."
Stay gestapo, lefties.

To be fair, most of the shitheads I have known in life are from Oregon. Just my personal bias haha

And this is the avenue they will use for a whole host of others issues...

That bill will never survive.

Just cause for revolution IMHO. I would think this is a direct violation of the 4th amendment.

Look at what they are actually doing as socialists while bombarding the media and the people with constant accusations against the President. Keeping the focus from the real. Open your eyes people.

the need to add in a provision to ensure everyone obtains a procreation permit to register for their pre-copulation visits and required counseling sessions to ensure only approved methods are allowed and to establish barriers to avoid injuring feelings if expectations are not met. Along with scheduling proper supervision of the events.

They better have ambulances and hearses attend those visits.

Or, create more government expenditure for over loaded case workers that currently claim they cannot keep up with the child cases they have.
They have child protection in state governments. This is to over reach to all households. So from the moment of birth you and your child are monitored. Wow.

What exactly will the licensed health care providers be looking for and what remedies are they equipped to provide? Hell, there aren’t enough qualified health care professionals to handle current needs.

Yeah, I'd be telling Brown to frick off.

Licensed healthcare providers?
Forget the lunacy of this happening for a minute and think about who is going to make money over another home health service.
Lobbyists are getting creative pushing ways to fleece

You are probably correct. But the fact that an American put it forward and it has any support at all is scary

Yea, it could!
Let's take it a step farther and have cameras in every room. We might prevent more crime that way.

The left should stop legislating what happens in peoples bedrooms.
