Is there a really good basketball up-and-comer (sophomore, junior, etc.) from the Baton Rouge area to keep an eye on?
Don't want the pipeline to dry up.

Not any big names like Javonte Smart, or Jarrel Martin over the next few years.

Jordan Wright at Duhnam looks pretty good from what I can see, he's really under the radar.

Jordan Wright is overrated in my opinion. I haven’t seen much improvement from his freshman year. He reminds me of how Bridgewater was a stud as a freshman but didn’t improve much after that.

Not sure if the kid is any good or not, but there is a 6'11" freshman at Central.

I remember playing against Acadiana area talent in the 90s and thinking we had some players in that district. In the playoffs we hit Catholic High of BR one year and Glen Oaks with Lester Earl the year before that. Those BR teams were difficult.

Jadyn Harris - Gonzales Middle School (Should go to East Ascension but you know how that goes)
6' 3" 160ish true 7th grader. Can shoot the ball real well, long and athletic. has 3-4 dunks in middle school basketball this year.
#14 prospect in USA for Class of 2024!

This is a NOLA player and I am not saying that he will be SEC material but Jordan Crawford is a sophomore at Shaw and the boy can play.
If he grows another few inches and continues to progress, he could be a good one.

Not really BR, but Houma has a 6-8 200 lb. freshman Dionjahe Thomas.

Jalen Cook is a big name in Walker. Word is he will play football only and wants to go to Bama.
