Several companies called the mayor and said they are hiring. Exxon really stepped up.
Some of the Thompson pipe guys left for TX instantly. They were told about the closure a few weeks ago. I'm guessing those are the ones with kids and wanted to get a jump start on this new semester. Still many are staying and still working.
