Has any politician ever been so embarrassed that they disappeared?

Most of us would be horrified to get caught in lies & scandals that politicians are known for.

Getting caught lying about being a swift boat captain, getting a beej from an unattractive in the oval office, affairs with strippers, and the list goes on and on...

What is it about the mindset of a politician that makes them incapable of feeling embarrassment?

He popped up a couple of times, but that’s a pretty good one.

I don’t know about being embarrassed but didn’t South Carolina’s governor say he was going to hike the Appalachian trail and disappear for about a week while he was really down in Argentina with his girlfriend?

Politicians are mostly sociopaths or narcissists, so they are immune to embarrassment.
