"Diversity" is now some sort of acceptable, objective goal of STEM fields. Not competence. Not "diversity of ideas", but straight up quotas, particularly of women and (non South Asian or East Asian) minorities.

How is that possible? STEM fields are extremely objective. STEM is based on the laws of nature and mathematics. There is no subjectivity.

I work in a university system. My supervisor had to sit through 6 hours of PP training modules on diversity, inclusion, microaggressions, EE, etc.
Such bullshite.

Not at LSU. ChemE professor senior year went on a rant after the election and basically said everything but “screw that murderous Clinton bitch.” Guy was the fricking man.
