When staying in the Magnificent Mile area, The L train doesn't pass in that area correct?

If coming from ORD (Blue) or MDW (Red), you can transfer to the Red Line and get on the train towards Howard. Get off at Grand/State or Chicago and walk a couple blocks east. You'll hit Michigan Ave.

If coming from MDW, transfer to Red at Roosevelt. If ORD, get off at Washington and take underground walkway to Lake.

$20-25 from airport to hotel for an Uber, or would you recommend a different way of transport?

I'd be surprised if your Uber was $20-25 from MDW or ORD. Can't remember the last time I took one under $30.

For convenience of being from out-of-town, I'd be inclined to take an Uber, but the 'L' is not difficult to navigate, either. During rush hour, there isn't much of a difference between the two getting down to Magnificent Mile, River North and Streeterville area.

Awesome, you are a huge help and have great insight on the city. Thx for the info!

I'm sure I may bump the thread for more info if I think of anything. Will try to cram doing plenty in the short amount of time we are there, but I know we'll go back another time during the warmer months for a Cubs game.

we kind of have ideas of what order we should do things, just looking to see your POV since you know the area so well..

We fly into CHI on Thurs around 11am, and have reservations at Girl and the Goat at 9pm...looking to see what you think we should squeeze in.

Also if you want to help with the other days that would be great. We have tickets to the Blackhawks game the Friday night at 6:30, but outside of that we are wide open.... obviously trying to knock out all the things we can do in our time there.

We don't fly out until Sunday afternoon at 7:00pm so we get 3/4 of a day on Sunday as well.

Just looking for your thoughts. Thx!
