The Freret corridor has a bagel place and some coffee places, so this will be a good addition. French Truck is a few blocks away but I never go there for a substantial breakfast.

Kolache Kitchen is great for breakfast tacos (meat, egg, potatoes is the the way to go with some Cholula or your hot sauce of choice,) but it is mostly empanadas. That's fine, and most of them are good, but the actual Kolaches are fruit-filled and way too bready for my taste.
