Why would they DNA test it? They admit they feed over 5000lbs of protein from January till August every year on the property even though its low fence and fair chase it shouldn't be considered for the record books in my opinion.

WHY? Low fence, fair chase. Dude spent tons of time, effort, and money pumping protein to improve his herd.
If it ain't penned up I don't see where the problem is.

wouldnt that exempt a large portion of camps/leases from the record books?

sounds like they're doing a good job of attracting/keeping/growing deer legally.

DNA test would confirm if it was from the native deer herd, it's going to take more than just protein to get a deer past 300" imo.
