So randomly I read this thread today and listened to what they sound like on YouTube, went outside earlier and heard one in my back yard and think two in my front yard. Good stuff

A few months back I saw one on the bricks of my house by my back patio. I was surprised because I didn’t know we had them in Slidell. He just froze up when I went outside and I could have easily caught him with a net.
I just listened to a video of the sound after reading your post. Heard one last night and apparently hear them all the time at night when I take the dog out. I always thought, “kind of late for birds to be chirping.” Apparently it’s not birds.
