Can you all join the student section and show them how it's done? At least for one game. Call it Lunatic Alumni Night

That's actually not a bad idea. I'm in. Coach Wade may be receptive to such a gathering. Student section could use all the help they can get.

I remember the Front Row Lunatics. Bring back the newspapers during the introduction of the visiting team!

We certainly don’t need to go that far back

Explain to me how the frick the students don’t even stand during games anymore? It has nothing to do with seats, they’re just lazy and apathetic.

Does the Kentucky game qualify when one of their cheerleaders pretended to crap on our logo and do the cat scratch and then our courtside row guys mocked their cheers to such an extent that they shot the bird at us? It was sooo funny seeing them lose their composure like that.

Actually, it was their mascot who pretended to crap.

When did this stop? When I started school there during Shaq's last year, I remember waiting in line to get into the dome and every one was carrying a paper. Guess they don't really have papers anymore, so not sure what the students would use, but we had a great time.

ETA - For those who don't know how it worked, when the opposing team was announced, everyone would unfold the paper and hold it up, acting like they were reading it instead of paying attention to the other team. Then when they were done announcing the other team, everyone would wad up their paper and throw it on the court. This happened every game...

Bc they're too busy texting and on facebook, snapchat, and twitter- not even watching the game. Seriously, at next game you go to, take a long look around at how many heads are down looking at their phones during the game. It's pathetic.

They did this all the way up until prolly the 2010 ish season. Don’t know when it stopped I just know I remember them still crumbling up the newspaper and throwing around that time frame

I was an original Front Row Lunatic. Gus Piazza from Phil's Oyster Bar bought us the t-shirts.

The best thing we did was research the opposing team, identify one issue with a key players background and try to get under his skin during warm-ups. Typically we would have the opposing team laughing at the target teammate due to the creativity.

It worked well most of the time but really backfired when Charles Barkley came to the Deaf Dome as a frosh. He channeled all of the negative energy into a dominating performance.

"Good Clean Heckling" was our motto.

I was, even though Dale couldn't coach too well, his teams were fun to watch and loaded with talent most years.

There have been some great Dunks seen in the AC/PMAC by various LSU basketball players over the years, but none quite like those slammed in by Dwayne "Astronaut" Scales. (I was fortunate to have been a Drummer in the Basketball Band in 80 & 81)

man I miss this...prob died out 2000-2002 somewhere around there. if it was anytime after that it was pretty weak. I remember when it seemed like the whole student section had a paper
