Dude has Florida, Texas and A&M higher than LSU in his too early Top. Each of has more roster losses than our Tigers. I don’t get the fascination with eaTme. Florida loses Joseph and Polite.

Florida should definitely be higher. They bring back a secondary that finished 13th in pass defense. They bring back their starting QB, all but 2 carries, yes "2 carries" from everybody that ran the ball, and unless somebody stupidly declares early, their top 7 receiving talents. The only downside on offense is losing 3 on the OL.

You saying them losing Joseph and Polite is any different from us losing White and Greedy?

They beat us, also finished 10-3, and they bring back almost as many starters as we do. Of course they should be ranked higher. Florida likely finishes 11-1/10-2 next year playing in the East with Kentucky going back to normal, Mizzu losing Lock, and South Carolina losing the best player on their team.

If Sternberger stays, TAMU brings back everything on offense except for one guard and that beast RB Williams. Now I do think they will fall back in rushing, but I believe Mond will play much better in year two of Jimbo and will make up for Williams's departure. Now most of that defense is gone so I can't say if they get better or worse because of it, but at worse they'll be a 9 win team again that challenges better teams and will probably upset one.

Even though Texas brings back most of their offense, defense is up in the air on what it could be. They could put up crazy numbers ala Oklahoma (not as efficiently though), but that defense might end up being horrendous.

If you are just ranking these 4 teams

UF
LSU
Texas
TAMU

UF and LSU should both be ranked in the top 10 and Texas is a fringe top 10 team.

They are losing 6 juniors to the draft including Jordan Scrarlett so they are losing way more than 2 carries

Sternberger already declared and their defense is going to be really young

No, they lose a starting DB in Gardner-Johnson. Joseph and Polite were the heart of that run defense and pass rush. Scarlett is leaving as well so more than 2 carries. Oh and they're just losing 3 of 5 OL (60%). We will weather losing White and Greedy. No doubt they are big losses but Queen played very well. And no, they don';t have a comparable recruiting class thus far.

How do you replace a back who gained over 2,000 yards from scrimmage? Sternberger is gone. You already state they lose a ton on defense. Plus, they beat us on a fluke at that their house.

We bring back more starters than any of the three programs Schlabach ranked ahead of us.
