Overall, the team was better at 101, so I know there were first meet jitters and some uncharacteristic mistakes. I could tell how nervous Ruby and Edwards looked before their vaults and I knew the falls were coming. I think they definitely felt the nerves, and was just thinking about it too much. I do worry about form issues for Dean on bars and beam. I’m not sure if she will be able to score much higher than a 9.825-9.85 on beam and a 9.8 on bars. Christina is not conditioned enough on floor just yet in my opinion. I’m sure she will be better by midsession though.

Honestly I am not worried about Edwards on vault. It seemed like first meet of the season nerves got to her. That 101 vault was spectacular, she would very consistent last year.

I agree with you about Dean on bars. Kirby/Ferrer will be taking over that. She is not the same gymnast on bars that she was in 2016 before her injury. Her handstands use to be much better, her release lacks amplitude. The double layout is screaming deductions.

Dean actually is solid on beam. I do think she incurred that .10 deduction from waiting too long, with the new rules. The only thing that worries me about her routine on beam is her leaps.

I do think this team really missed having Ferrer in the lineup as she will immediately impact the leg events.

I am very optimistic about Durante on beam, she needs some meets to work through nerves.

Florida was literally scoring 196's 70% of the year last year. It was truly awful with the talent they had

I read through this, and I still can't determine if LSU won or lost.

Sorry for my gymnastics ignorance.
