Now there's 4 of us.

Jasmine and (insert name here) -- she seems sweet but what's up with the "you have to pay for everything" attitude

I despise that, it's 2019 not 1959. She alrady is a "strong independent" woman with a job and a house paying all her own bills, someone lightening that load by half is a great thing but apparently not enough.

quote:

On the honeymoon, she needs his help after she runs her 4-wheeler in the brush and he just sits on his and waits for her to pull herself out. She's completely turned off by that. I would be too.

Im' not sure I agree here. It's not like she flipped over the handlebars in a scary accident, she just ran off the road a few feet. If he jumped up and raced over to her it'd kinda be a little weird IMO. She's an adult, she just needs ot back it up and get back on the road, I don't think he's necessarily obligated to help with that.

quote:

Let's go with him just being nervous for now. Maybe he's not like that all the time. Stephanie, not sure what to make of her just yet. She does seem like a total team player to be taking on AJ tho, giving it a chance.

With AJ I don't think he's nervous, he seems like he's just genuinely himself 100% of the time. At the alter he was definitley nervous but they both seem settled in, I'm liking this couple. The preview for Tuesday showed stephanie saying something about a fight or something, I'm curious to see how they handle adversity.

quote:

He's got some issues that will likely surface before long. I feel bad for her tho, she wants to be married and do fun stuff, but he's more interested in the sloths at the zoo.

There is absolutely somethign amiss with this pairing, specifically luke. I do believe the smoking thing has more of a backstory than has been showed on the airings. He simply doens't act like a normal adult would act in pretty much every situation he's shown in.

This season seems a lot more interesting than seasons before. I don't know if it is adding the fourth couple or the Luke/Kate train wreck but I'm finding myself anticipating the next episode whereas before it would be my wife saying "there's a new episode recorded".

Don't think of the show as much like your typical reality/gimmick series but more like a social experiment. The temptation is obviously to sensationalize the married at first sight premise, but the series does a good job of taking the high road and at least attempts to find decent participants. The show also provides them with relationship support throughout the season.

At the season finale, the participants simply decide if they want to continue with their long-term commitment or call it quits (I think at the show's expense).

The show's premise is endlessly fascinating to me, and there are a (very) few couples that are still married currently.
