I say this as a lifelong Broncos fan: Elway is at a crossroads.
He is starting to finally have his feet held to the fire by the fanbase.
He does not need to hire another Yes-Man as HC.

I'm with you. I think he is running out of time. This hire is going to be paramount. The sad thing is I don't see many people to get excited about. I would like Gase back as OC, but doubt that happens.

I was watching the Broncos game at a bar in Denver yesterday and I would imagine the people that were there are very happy this morning.

Offensive line...so many vets are going to be gone on both sides of the ball. Time to build the lines back up. I have a feeling they try for a QB though.

The Broncos formally opened their coaching search Monday and have asked for permission to interview Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, Los Angeles Rams QB coach Zac Taylor, Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak and New England Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores, who also acts as the team's defensive coordinator. The Broncos are also expected to interview former Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano in the coming days.
Elway said that former Miami Dolphins head coach and Broncos assistant Adam Gase -- who was also fired Monday -- and former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan were not candidates "at this point in time."
