Tua's surgery...think about it?

A new "innovative" technique for high ankle sprains that is revolutionary...may make as big an impact as the Tommy John surgery! Yet, only done on Bama player for now. And did you see what was involved in rehab? Cryotherapy 24/7, special chambers...now WHAT insurance is paying for such an experimental surgery....most insurers would pay for normal rehab, NOT a special surgery and 24/7 rehab...Just another example of Bama gaming the system and ahead of the curve!
NCAA can't keep up or just ignoring the facts!!

Of all the reasons to hate Bama, affording their players cutting edge medical care is not one. Geez.

Weird melt. Schools have always paid for surgeries from injuries. LSU has had players flown all over the country for treatment.

Sorry my friend....NCAA doesn't pay for experimental surgical procedures!! They will pay for "evidenced based strategies" and that means procedures that have been validated. An experimental surgery never before done is NOT something NCAA would pay for!..Get your facts straight!

Alabama was the one entity that got to keep their insurance when Obamacare became law. Those SOB’s!!!

ESPN blew this surgery out of proportion. It is not that revolutionary. This surgery has been done since T.O. had it done with the Eagles prior to Super bowl. We have been doing this procedure where I work for over 3 years now. I work at a small rural indigent hospital. It is called Arthrex "tight rope" ankle repair
