Absolutely . James Plaag will do you right. One of the best in the Galveston area. He is dialed in and one of Micky Eastman's longtime running buddies. Both of these guys are just about the best in the business.
Give James a call.
Give James a call.

Solid recommendations. James is big in Galveston Bay while Eastman is more honed in on Trinity and his radio show, but both are probably doing more deer hunting right now. Jimmy West and Brian Fisher are solid if you want to try East Bay.

You dead set on Galveston bay? I love fishing the Galveston Bay complex, especially West Bay, because it’s a good fishery and convenient, but if I’m paying a guide, I’m fishing Matagorda at least.

If you decide to slip over to East Matagorgda Bay, look up Capt. Lee Warmke who owns Half Breed Guide Service. He’s always on big trout in the winter and spring if you enjoy wading and slow rolling Corky’s and tops. He’s one hell of a fisherman and an even better person. He grew up on both East and West Matagorda bays and catches fish.
