Apparently they want a smaller, more intimate venue. Unique way that it will be managed, allowing money to be saved by the city and university.

C3, Live Nation and UT alum and actor Matthew McConaughey are also partners. McConaughey was even named a "Minister of Culture," which essentially means he will have a large voice in the arena project.
Oak View Group CEO Tim Leiweke noted McConaughey is "actively involved in the design."

So tea sips can expect $30 in service fees on top of the ticket face value?
Ok, cool. Hook em.

The current one is an eyesore. This is the first thing you see driving downtown on I35

Geeze - that thing looks like a Russian gulag. Unlike Tiger Stadium, that place is literally "where dreams go to die."

I’ve always wondered why they don’t have something painted on there. It’s a giant canvas if they want it to be.

Rip tDrum but it is past its expiration. Cota hosts all the big concerts so we don’t need a big arena. I welcome the new center. Dkr got its renovation, tDisch had a face lift. This and the lee and joe jamail swim center (goat 14 yr old job for winston cup) are due to be replaced

This is from the 70s if I’m not mistaken. tDrum is late 80s I think
ETA: they were both ‘77. Del conte has lost control of the program. Cares more about sponsorship dollars than the fans and student athletes

Jesus.
That is truly hideous.
That looks like some weird broke down building that you might find in the middle of nowhere in Albuquerque.

How would you rate the swim center? Same year. Ya boy used to be hospitality and had an all access vendor pass. Used to hit his one hitter out back by his neighbors bbq pit
