Sort of retards- but it does sort of undermine the argument I’ve watched (particularly on TD) that the wall is not a popular idea.
I find It significant that so many people have put their money where their mouth is.
I’ve never given a shite whether Mexico paid for it. I just want a wall.
I don’t believe the wall is the only solution, but I do believe it is necessary from a practical standpoint (it will slow these illegals down long enough for the other security measures regarding illegal entry to take over). Plus. It sends a message that breaks the freaking language barrier that we mean business. YOU CANNOT COME HERE ILLEGALLY. No wall is like ordering a convicted felon to stay inside a prison. He’s a criminal. He’s not following the rules except by force.
The wall is not a replacement for enforcing rules regarding a-hole criminal illegals that are already here. That’s a whole other problem that needs to be solved (and NOT with any path to citizenship, although I’m fine if these people stay so long as they have committed no other crime). But I don’t see how to solve the problem of what to do with illegals already here without solving the problem of how to keep new illegals out.
In other words, I would not write off passionate support of the Wall. It’s real. And it’s popular. And people WANT to pay for it. It is significant that financial support keeps ballooning.
