It may have worked if it was Kamara carrying the ball. Personnel and player execution is all part of a play. I don't understand how you say the defense was beat when they punched the ball out of Lewis' hands for a touchback.

The ball should have been in Kamara's hands to win it, or secure it. Not TLL, who has hardly played this year and is way too undersized for that kind of play.

You did see the flag that came flying in. I believe it would have been a holding call on Thomas, though I was too shocked to actually see what it was for. So, while I don't have a huge problem with the play call, I don't know that it worked.

You're wasting your time. Everybody thinks the play works exactly the same way if you put it in the hands of one of the players the defense expects to get it. No way they got the opening to the end zone because of any misdirection. Clearly Payton was getting cute
. If only he was a good a coach as the folks here.
