You notice those posts more, because they stand-out from the mob.
No, it's because you bend over backwards to be contrarian on anything Trump-related and are openly hostile to those who support the POTUS. Any 50/50 ball regarding the current administration or what most on the right hold fast to, you're going left on. It's your thing, but it's more than just "standing out from the mob," and you know it.

Of course, there is also the fact that I am uniformly accused of lying when I post those of my views which are Right of center.
Some do, based on your usual behavior. I personally am just as vocal when I agree with you as when I disagree, and give props accordingly (not that you seek them, of course, but that's neither here nor there).

the bulk of the posters on this forum seem to have trouble grasping that libertarians agree with THEM alot of the time and DISAGREE with them almost as often.
This depends greatly on the libertarian in question. I have a pretty dang strong libertarian streak myself, so I understand the dynamic more than most hardcore righties, but the issue here isn't that you're libertarian. You're hardly the only one on this board but you're one of the most hostile towards Trump/Trump supporters. There's a great deal of variance among libertarians. The interesting thing, though, is that in the current sociopolitical climate, more libertarian positions are closer to the center-right than that which leftists espouse.
Yet you tend to gravitate toward the latter more often than not, especially if Trump's name is invoked. That's why you're received how you are on this site.

quote:I certainly agree that I am hostile to those who seem to think that the man can do no wrong ... and there are many such posters. Blind sycophancy annoys me as much among GOP voters as among Dems (who were just as bad about Obama). I find it highly entertaining to see that the posters who deride blind adherence to Dem dogma are UNIFORMLY the worst about blind adherence to "conservative" dogma.
(You) are openly hostile to those who support the POTUS.
Bandit and Shorty are just two examples of Trump supporters with whom I have NEVER had a cross word ... because they are both civil and reasonable.
quote:This is always entertaining to me, because every ideology quiz I take puts me right-of-center for libertarians ... and actually in the bottom-right quadrant (more "authoritarian" than the mean for a libertarian). Of course, this still makes me FAR less authoritarian than the average GOP voter AND far less "conservative."
The interesting thing, though, is that in the current sociopolitical climate, more libertarian positions are closer to the center-right than that which leftists espouse. Yet you tend to gravitate toward the latter more often than not
