I need his age before I judge you like everyone else has. Teen, pre-teen, single digits?
I admit, I wouldn't mind reviewing the voice chat for my 8 year old. But I don't think I could bring myself to do it. I had 13 and 16 year old brothers at that age, and there is no way in hell he could here anything worse than what I heard from them when I was 8.

It's going to be a while before I let my kids just dive in to the online gaming world.

Its aggravating that I can't get him into any other (single player)
Games. It's all fortnite, or pixel gun 3d (which I like) if on mobile. It was roblox for a long time, which I was also ok with, and he had a brief interest in minecraft.
I've only given him a mic recently, and I've (discreetly) listened to his side of the conversation. But I can't control the other end, I can't control what he hears at school, and though i try to monitor his YouTube activity, video titles don't mean shite to me most of the time, so I'm sure he hears stuff there to. We can try and shelter them, but we'll fail. Just teach them right and wrong, and that there is much, much "wrong" around us, but we expect better of them.
