Pretty sure this move was probably influenced by Tyla not wanting to stay in Starkville. Hud can have a good paying gig, run the show, less pressure, provide a little stability for his youngest kids while rebuilding his resume, and Tyla has stuff to do. Looks like a good move to me.

This is why you always strike while the iron is hot. Maintaining at lower level schools is damn near impossible
