How come people who really like Anime get so upset about someone not voting for "their" movie.

Because the rules are you have to have seen both films. I’m willing to bet that maybe two posters that have voted against Mononoke or Spirited Away have seen them. It’s an absolute joke to compare mediocrity that can be edited down 25 minutes over a film that carefully considers each frame that goes into the film and none of it can be removed.

The Sword in the Stone are a bunch of loosely related stories that could be anything and hardly move the plot forward whatsoever. Every move Ashitaka and the characters take in the film is deliberate, moves the plot forward, and is always looking to establish the characters at all times. What do we learn about any of these characters in the Sword in the Stone? They aren’t developed and don’t feel like real people. All Arthur has to do is pull the god damn sword out and everyone is pretty much the exact same as the start of the story. That is weak storytelling.

Anyone who has seen PM would be insulted that these two movies are being rationally compared.
