Feel like people forget Glenn Dorsey came back and he was a sure top 10 pick. And won a national title.

The NFL was a low-middle class job back then. Now they get paid a lot.

Devin would be on Mount Rushmore of LSU Tigers if he stayed another year.

Shaq did the same thing, came back when no one said he would and when he was a sure top 3 pick. Things worked out pretty well for ole Shaq.

Kevin Mawae.
Who also turned down a sure 1st round pick to come back... and get his position changed by Curley Hallman from left tackle to center. Which didn't hurt his earning potential AT ALL.

Is this a thing?

Sure, far more so than our Heisman trophy winner who led us to a national title. And who would even consider a scrub like Glen Dorsey or Kevin Faulk?

Shaq. If we limit it to football, probably Dorsey with Hester second. I think people forget just how much people loved Dorsey.
I still get angry when I think about that chop block Auburn laid on him.

Also Wendell Davis.
All American junior and future first rounder came back after an SEC Chsmpionship season and won SEC POY and took LSU to an improved 10-1-1 record and top 5 finish even though it wasn’t good enough to repeat as SEC Champs.
More recently though, Marcus Spears and Bradie James also come to mind.
Both had just won championships and were highly rated prospects (albeit not as high as DW), and they both surprisingly chose to come back as well.
Love DW but there are a lot of really young posters here or really old posters that have memory loss
