thats the thing, taking Rodney doesn’t mean we get Ish. We can wait until the very end and Ish signs with Bama and we’ll pull Rodney’s scholly and hold it or dish out a last minute offer.

They could land Ishmael if Sospher decides that he would rather be at Bama than play with his brother.
They also are very much in If for Nkobe Dean, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Darnell Wright.
Also they may flip Jaren Handy or Jordan Battle.
It’s incredible how many kids are leaning toward Bama.
Vol- I know it’s an impossible question but do you feel that Ishmael will value playing with his brother over playing at Bama? Not going to hold you to anything, I just trust your opinion

Bama doesn't need to burn a scholarship for Rodney. They have other ways of getting him on campus.
Bottom line, it's 1 scholly for them or 2 for us.
Either way, the Sopsher bros will "play" together.

i would never ever ever be upset with the staff if they told Ish its early signing period or nothing.
Its not like he cant get ESPN to broadcast it on either signing day.
With the new early signing period, there is exactly ONE reason to wait for February.... and that is to play games.

I agree, especially if LSU is agreeing to take his brother to get him. I mean, if we are going to wheel and deal, then I think it's more than fair to put a deadline on it.

Tell him "We want you, we're giving you and your brother a full ride to play for us, you will play early and often for your home state school, and we will put you in a position to get drafted highly to the NFL. However, we desperately need some defensive linemen that can play for us next year, so if you're not that guy, we will need to find that guy."

#2) For the last time - We are not in the running for any recruits that are remotely close to Ishmaels caliber.
We were in desperate need for a running back when Leonard came out. Leonard said from the beginning that he was waiting until January to announce his decision.
Ishmael has said from the beginning that he was waiting until NSD to decide.
So you want to recruit him for 3 years and give him an ultimatum that he has to sign 2 months earlier than he wanted to because your insecure?

cane, i normally love your information/opinions, but "insecure" is the wrong way to put it:
O has a program to run, you want in, here are the stipulations. You do not want to live by those stipulations, I will still love to have you, but PROMISES are off.
I know there is more to it than that, but I would never trust an 18 year old recruit with my job security.

Alabama only signed 22 last year. 25 is still the cap, but if you sign less like they did, you can back count those 3 as long as they're early enrollees the following year.
