I see references to this and warnings about crew boat wakes when fishing there. Where is it?

Grand pass and MS river junction

The short bit between cypress cove marina and the river.

Both are right.
Is the jump a no wake zone? Was put that way about 12 years ago unless they changed it.
On a side note. Right at that point of the two, if the river is real low in Sept, nice trout stack up there.

I've never seen a crew boat on plane in the jump. I don't think it's posted no wake zone, and small boats usually stay on plane

Not a no wake zone. Crew boats wakes never bother me, but the loaded tankers with 3-4' rollers do in the river.

Crew boats are generally dead slow around the jump, especially if the Coast Guard is patrolling.
Recreational boats are usually not, which can be a problem especially the skiffs and jon boats.
I'll go wide and cautious entering the river, until I see what's coming up river and coming down.

When someone runs down river without both, they taking a chance of spending a couple days down river.

I think about all those times I fished the second spillway in my 15’ Duracraft bass boat with a 50 Mercury and wonder WTF I was thinking.
