With the talent we had on the D-Line this year

Do you feel these guys performed to the expectations or underperformed?
I’ll be the first to say underperformed. I just didn’t see any domination in any of the games. We saw flashes of them being elite. I’m not sure if the loss of Chaisson was the reason for it but the most puzzling thing is Coach O and meatball. Are they not coaching these guys up or what? Our D lines used to be nasty and feared but we haven’t seen that since Brockers and Benny Logan.
O is probably an alpha but I’d rather we bring an actual D Line coach on board. I’m not really sure what meatball brings other than recruiting and even that is suspect.
How much would it cost to take coach Brian Baker from Miss St.?
Baker’s leadership was evident in 2017 as the Bulldogs’ produced multiple first-team All-SEC defensive linemen for the first time in school history. Both sophomore Jeffery Simmons and junior Montez Sweat earned the nod on the Associated Press and Coaches’ teams. It represented just the second time since 2003 that an SEC West school produced multiple first-team All-SEC defensive linemen (Alabama, 2015).
Baker coached eight Pro Bowlers, including the likes of DeMarcus Ware and Julius Peppers. He spent the 2014 season with the Redskins as outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan recorded a career-best 13.5 sacks under Baker’s tutelage.
Prior to his year in Washington, he served as the Cleveland Browns’ outside linebackers coach, helping the Browns finish third in the AFC and ninth in the NFL in total defense (332.4 yards per game).

I said when Chaisson went down that we didn't have any great pass rushers. It was our Achilles heel on defense all season.
We are still way too thin at tackle. Shelvin and some others really need to step it up.

If LSU needs to bring in some major hire as a DLine coach, then please tell me what the purpose of Orgeron is AT ALL. He is our former DL coach. If that position can't receive good coaching, with him being the head coach, then he is utterly useless.
How many other good coaches do you know that can't handle one side of the ball really well? He doesn't do that, but we all knew it. The defense is dependent on Aranda. Orgeron has pretty much proven he doesn't know what the hell to do with the offense. If he can't even handle the DLine, then tell me what he is doing?

It is soooo frustrating to keep reading post after post after post wondering why the team consistently under performs and asking everything under the sun about coaching, about Xs and Os and Alleva this or that. It's all about the Jimmies and Joes, not Xs and Os. Until LSU can convince the better players to start attending school here, above average is the ceiling.

What if I told LSU’s three starting defensive linemen were all top 50 recruits

Wait...are you serious?

Weren’t Alexander and Lawrence highly rated?
It’s the coaching. Either we are terrible at identifying D line talent or we aren’t developing them or putting them in a place to succeed.

Considering all the injuries, I would say we did about as well as could be expected. As a team, I think there were times we over performed and sometimes we under performed. I feel that was the case with our defensive line also. I think for the most part this team finished about where most expected. There were times during the season where LSU was being talked about nationally about possibly making the playoffs. I never expected that, so I proud of the players and the coaches!

You are a complete tool. Overly emotional, low intelligence, whining little bitch. I watched you for a few days now. All you do is bash and whine. Get a life dude. Someone asks a question on here and you take it as an opportunity to bash O. Pathetic.

That's what the duty of Chicken's Army is right?
Care to point out what I said that was false?

No. Tell me what I said was false.
Was Orgeron not the DLine coach before becoming head coach?
Does any really good college football coach not have an expertise on running either the offense or defense?
I believe I made a legit point. We aren't asking Orgeron to even do either of those things. Is expecting good DLine play, regardless of who the DL coach is, being unreasonable?

I can't believe chicken didn't think of it when he hired us.
I'm also owed 8 years of back pay. I guess I'll need to get with him on that as well.
