Cowboys ran the Legion of Boom defense as others mentioned. They grabbed and held, made continuous illegal contact and forced the refs to either cal it early or if they let it go keep doing it since the precedent had been set that it wasn’t going to be called.

They got away with bloody murder and it’s a reason the NFL and NBA have become sucky at points. The officials allow teams to dictTe the way a game is called instead of actually calling the game by the rules.

It’s why I hated the Seahawks so much. They were overrated and just found a way to beat the system not by being better but gaming the system.

Bama does this a lot which is why I laugh when their fans try to defend the reffing by claiming their opponents get called in less penalties. No shite, it’s to Bama’s advantage to force the game to be called that way. They are usually more physical, coach cheap tricks to get away with holds and do it every game.

You can’t blame the coaches because it worked. The cowboys also didn’t have to travel for two straight weeks and despite having a week from the previous Thursday game, the teams both still were dealing with depletion from so many games I a compressed time frame.

I don’t think you can take anything from the Cowboys game to be meaningful. They are a good team by did not solve the Saints offense.
