It didn’t. It was good enough I didn’t regret putting the time into it but it never really grabbed me. It was sometime around the middle of book 2 that I really got engaged but book 3 has been absolutely phenomenal from start to finish.


ETA: or better to say start to middle as I haven’t finished it yet.
