That's a straight up lie and you know it. There's no chance any of the other R candidates would've stood up to some of the outright attacks Trump has - most would've capitulated and his congress would've reflected it.

That being said, I hate when Trump does this kind of crap; he's not doing himself ANY favors. I think he believes that since he's posting this stuff on social media - on his personal account no less - that its somehow separate from his role as president; that it's his "personal" beliefs and not in any official capacity.

He needs to realize that HE is the president 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is a representation of the office at all times. I think he legitimately believes he's having direct, personal contact with his followers on Twitter and giving them private thoughts when that isn't the case at all.
