That's who I thought it was. And the guy in the left side of the pic with a black hat is Ish and Rodney's dad.

FOR THE LAST Time!!! He isn’t going to qualify!!! He will be at EMCC!!

The dude is going to Bama, let’s stop the false hopes...it’s over

Yes that’s meatball. I believe The guy to the far left is Ish and Rodney’s dad per twitter. Anyway, the point is that they sat with the Sopshers.

I just can’t. We’ve been down this road before. Signing day can’t get here soon enough

Not going to lie...whether LSU gets Sopsher or not someone has their work cut out on him. He needs some major motivation and IMO, has high bust potential in NCAA. I've seen him play twice and all he did was take plays off. He looked lazy and not very interested. Considering LSU isn't that good with big DTs maybe it would be a blessing if we could find someone else.

We have a defensive line coach as our head coach and you think it would be a blessing to not land the #1 DT in the nation that’s from Amite?
He’s the type of guy that can make a difference against Bama. Whether he took plays off in high school or not he can dominate top level talent.
It’s never a blessing to lose NFL lineman from our state.

I never said "just go land some 4 *s" LSU is already giving up 2 scholarships to a kicker and a long snapper. Giving up one to Rodney makes 3 scholarships to players that can't help the defense or offense get better. Recruiting players is a crap shoot, there are no guarantees. And numbers play a large factor in getting that one player that can be a difference maker. I am not saying having a competent long-snapper and a good FG kicker are not important, but LSU's problem against bama is much larger than a FG kicker or a long snapper. Those are positions that must be filled and there is very little way around it. But add another scholarship to that and it's a waste. I'm sure there's some 3 star players LSU hasn't offered that would love to be Tigers. And just because they are 3 stars doesn't mean they won't be good. One player will not close the gap between LSU and bama. If that was the case LSU should not have lost 8 games in a row with all the NFL talent they have had on the field. No player coming out of HS is worth 2 scholarships. I've seen a lot of players come out of HS and were suppose to be superstars in college and they were not superstars. Some turned out to be okay, some didn't turn out to be much at all and very, very few ended up being game-changer type players. There is no guarantee Ish will be that type player.

You make some a solid points, but who are the 3* guys this year? It's slim pickings right now.
Also, I'm really starting to want Ish in this class and, as of yesterday, I'm back in the offer Rodney too bandwagon.
I'm sure I'll be sick to my stomach and in need of a long break from recruiting come February, but I know what I'm getting myself into here.
Also, as for the Rodney scholarship, I don't think we're getting 25 in this class anyway.

In neither game I saw did he look dominant at all. And O hasn't exactly been doing a great job with our dline since he has been here. The last time LSU had a really good dline was either 2011 or 2012. Lawrence has not lived up to expecations. He's an average DT and Fehoko(sp?) was nothing but hype.

You’re logic is so far off base that it’s hard to argue.
Let me get this straight though. Since LSU has a kicker and a long snapper in this class you would rather they take 2 — 3* lineman that want to be Tigers over the #1 Defensive Tackle in the country and his 3* Dlineman brother?
You shitting me right now?
Posted on 12/9/18 at 11:53 am to Canebreak
Bama is running out of room and LSU will take his brother, so it may not matter if he prefers to go to Bama.

We have 1 defensive lineman committed and the last 3 classes have been very Dlineman light
I agree that we desperately need more in this class, but the above statement is just false. We signed so many last year that we moved two to offense. We are still left with three very good young players as interior dlinemen - Jenkins, Cotton, and Livingston.

LSU can waste a scholarship on Rodney and when he realizes he’ll never see the field and quits, the TAF can set him up with a nice barbershop in Amite to give the fat man a little competition for his “business”.
