We obviously don't really know what happened, he certainly may have slapped her.

But we know her credibility is in question.

And another quote from that interview she had that seems like a huge red flag is how willing she was to talk about how shocked she was at how quickly he found a new team after SF released him. Without knowing her history, maybe I don't notice it. But knowing her backstory, it really made it feel like she was insinuating that was her motive for going to the police, and she was disappointed when her attempt failed and he easily found a new team to play for.
