Im getting married in June and I keep asking myself the same question. I thought i had talked my fiance into using her parents wedding fund to buy a house instead right before I proposed, but as soon as she saw that ring she went into wedding fever mode and spent every damned dime out of that fund. I keep seeing invoices for various things and all I can think about is the ZERO return on any of that money. It sucks.

Her parents should not have to pay for you to get a house. It is a wedding fund, not a "our daughter is marrying someone who can't afford his own hosue".
