Meyer is tough as nails. He's THE boss of his program. There's a reason Meyer had the winningest W/L percentage of active Div I coaches when we all woke up this morning. There's a difference between "highly successful" and the top of the W/L heap.
However, the fact that Meyer and Day have different public personalities, and the fact that we don’t really know how Day runs things, is irrelevant to whether Day can be successful and keep OSU in the NC picture year in and year out.

And this sums up the DUMBEST aspect of this mess. Ohio State should have hired a guy with at least 10 years of head coaching experience. A.D. Gene Smith and the clowns that allowed Meyer to be deposed have NO CLUE how Day "runs things".
Rumors are that Gene Smith and Prez Drake pushed Meyer for a date certain when Meyer would turn the job over to Day. They wouldn't budge. So Meyer said, "Great, then. The day is today. See ya."
Drake is a SJW idiot, and Smith became his lackey.
