We (wife and I) like red Zins from Napa. We like some Cabs as well but prefer the Zins.

Rombauer Zin. There are three or four variations all are excellent. Runs about $30 bottle.

Rombauer Cab. $50 bottle.

Cheaper Napa Zins we like are Red Tractor and Beaver Creek. Both at the $15 range.

Get into Turley zins at all?

My favorite zins are from Sonoma's dry creek valley, the rockpile appellation, in particular.

Ridge makes some great Zin dominant blends out of Sonoma as well. Their Three valleys is excellent and their Lytton springs just made spectators top 100 and was delicious.

If you haven’t tried Michael David, they have some great zins as well, although they did just sell off their flagship 7 deadly zins.
