Maybe. Maybe not. Orgeron will ultimately decide if he is or he isn't. He needs to fix this offense.

Fisher or Herman have no effect on Orgeron other than the fact we'll play A&M once a year, and the home and home with Texas. If O does what he needs to do, then he'll be the coach at LSU for a long time. If he doesn't his leash only gets shorter.

I don't have any loyalties to O other than he's the current HC of LSU so of course I want him to succeed, but it's always program over coach. If the rumors were true that Jimbo wanted a 10 year guaranteed deal from us in 2016 like he hosed aggy for in 2017, then I'm glad he's not here. Look at what AU is going through with Gus right now.

But the point remains, the onus is on O to write is chapter here. Whether it's a few pages or a it's whole novel it's totally in his control.

if he keeps Ensminger and goes 9-3 against next years schedule with the returning starters it wont.

And what about the Larry Fedora crowd?

What about them?

Fedora's resume is still light years ahead of Orgeron's, even if you include Orgeron's interim coaching gigs.

You are going to be very disappointed.

Just look at the PR machine he has now, they have been circling the wagons since he was named interim.

I agree, that it should be easy but it wont be. Once the local media gets fired up at the possibility of him being fired, you know the national media will jump on.

LSU objectively had BY FAR more talent on the roster upon O's arrival than either Herman had at Texas or Jimbo had at A&M

You think Herman would even have sniffed the SECCG? The B12 sucks goat balls.

Ok. Please explain to me how a prediction that I made at the beginning of the season Carrie's any weight after the hindsight a person has after the season is over. I honestly don't see the gotcha. The original comment was my opinion made without the benefit of seeing them play. My opinion now is after watching the abysmal play of the offensive line. I'm genuinely curious. Hell it doesn't bother me if he wants to harp on it. It's ridiculous but keep it up

so your point being that... more than one recruiting service objectively showed that LSU had more talent than both Texas and A&M?

there's no way of knowing that for sure, obviously, but his record as a head coach and coordinator leads one to believe that it would certainly be possible.

Ok? He is still playing for his conference championship. Let me guess, you also tout LSU's wins over Auburn and Miami.

ETA: Using one of your talking points, if O had taken over Texas instead of Herman, do you think Texas would be playing for the Big 12 championship?

I’m confused, so what made you say they were talented in the first place if you weren’t actually familiar with the players?

I would never want a coach to lose his job in Year 3 (including his Interim Tag year) unless it's a losing season. However, it has been the inability of this coaching staff to modernize the offense, which is why Les was fired.

If someone comes at me with the: "We scored 70 points" bullshite. Overtime, defenses are tired, with a shortened field. That argument is irrelevant.

Anyway, Orgeron will keep his job if we get a new OC. If he does, he'll keep the job. Both sides will be happy.
