Seems like a misunderstanding. Craig was clearly an instigator who should have not been on LSU's sideline, and clearly the POS of this situation. Krag was probably juiced up and wanted to tell Craig he was being a prick in no uncertain terms.
Jimbo's nephew turns around to tell Krag to back off, the situation is handled. What he did that was wrong was unnecessarily push Krag, unfortunately hitting his pacemaker.
Faulk rightly defends Krag knowing what he knows about the situation.

Sounds like the most plausible summation.
People made it sound like the A&M kid just ran up on a complete stranger in Kragthorpe and decked him for no reason. I never bought that.
